P2A News (What we are doing in school)
12.06.11: Miss Kerry needs someone to look after her pet in the Summer holidays! The animal is called an axolotl. You can find out more about them here . If you can look after my axolotl, please bring a note from home. I will provide full instructions and food, etc. Thank you!
29/03/11: Well done to all of P2A for their excellent assembly last week. Everybody tried very hard and brought in some great costumes! Thanks to the mums and dads who came to watch. If any parents made a video of the assembly, Miss Kerry would love a copy so we can watch it in class! Thank you to all the parents who have sent in costumes for the show. A few children have not brought them in yet. Please make sure they are sent in soon, as we need time to decorate them before the show next week! All children should have brought home a letter about reports night next week. If I have requested an appointment with you, please let me know if you cannot attend. All other parents are welcome to call in and speak to me on Monday if there is anything in the report you would like to discuss, or if you would like a general chat about your child.

Spelling Websites
http://translate.google.es/ Many of you might already use this website. It is useful for parents when communicating with me! It is also very helpful for English pronounciation. When you translate a word from Spanish to English, you can click the speaker next to the word and the page reads it aloud in the correct accent. This is good when practising spelling and is helpful for children who sometimes confuse English and Spanish sounds.
http://jollylearning.com/ - The Jolly Phonics programme helps children to learn the main ways of reading and writing sounds in English. Most of the class will have used their resources when learning to read and write. It is designed for younger children, but would be very helpful for those in the class who need to practise their spelling. There are many products to buy on the website. They deliver to Canarias for an extra charge. The most useful products to buy would be workbooks 4 to 7 and the CD-ROM.
